Well, I have finally decided to do it. I have for months now, enjoyed reading the blogs of many of my friends. Most of them don't know that I read their blogs and how often. I thought I would join the ranks.
For those who don't know what has been going on in my family I will fill you in but not all at once. Right now the big drama (and there is always drama in the Dunn family) is Bubba in the Army boot camp. I can deal with that and I have to admit it will do him more good than harm. It is what comes after boot camp that I am not, nor will I ever be, ready for. He will graduate boot camp June 13th and head to Georgia to jump school.
I suppose most of you can guess what jump school is but for the 1 or 2 of you out there that might be clue less...he will be preparing to jump from airplanes and helicopters. I just might be able to accept that if and only if he would promise as I have begged and begged that it would only be a total of 4 inches off the ground. I think he has people over him that will over rule me and he choose to over rule me when he held up his hand and signed on the line. Not only is 4 inches out of the question but worse than that it will probably be out of this crountry when all is said and done.
We received a letter from our solider today and he is doing good. I didn't think this would be a great challenge to Bubba because he played football in high school and he didn't shy away from the tough riggers of the practice routeens. It steatched him and he loved it.
I have given my kids into God's hands over and over in their lives. This is one of the times I have to trust a BIG and LOVING GOD that I know loves my son more than I do. To a mother that seems impossible but I know it to be true. I have seen God work in tremendous ways and I have no doubt he will lead Bubba and keep his hand on his life. Can I say God will keep Bubba from all harm...NO but I can say Bubba has made is life right with God and his life for all eternity is in Gods hands and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Thanks for sharing. My high school teachers thought I would become a writer - ha! I hate journaling and blogging - but I love reading others. I loved the pictures too. Say a prayer for my Grandson Marc. He has been talking to the marines for a year. His mom kicked him out so he is sort of floating right now.
Love,
Me
