There is no place like home!!!

Yesterday I was in my bathroom getting ready for work and my mind was on the Lord and on heaven and longing for the time when I would see my Lord and savior. I thought about the ones that has gone on before, my brother, Bro. Clay, Pat Hebb and many, many others that I long to see. Then my mind came back to those that I love so dear still with me here on the earth.
My mind went to the movie, The Wizzard of Oz and the scene where Dorothy was about to say good bye to her friends that she had met. The scarecrow, the lion and the tin man. They had been through so much and grown so close. She had landed in the land of oz totally out of circumstances out of her control and taken a journey of ups and downs but her focus was only on making her way back home.
When it came time to say goodbye she was torn between the love of new friends and the love she knew waited for her in her Aunt Em and Uncle Henry. Giving her last farewell kiss and words of encouragement she told them good bye and headed home saying, as we all know...there is no place like home, there is no place like home.
I too know there is no place like home....we are just here for a SHORT time and then we will be able to go HOME and be with those that have gone on before us. My heart longs to be there but as I still travel this journey I hope that I will be able to pass the message to others that Jesus is waiting for us at HOME & THERE IS NO PLACE LIKE HOME!!!!
John 14 2&3 In my father's house are many mansions if it were not so, I would have told you, I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself. PTL Truth...HE will come again.

Lizzie & Ben

Well, I thought it about time to introduce you to my 2 grandchildren that live in Penn. Ben will be 2 on the 22nd of this month. Lizzie is 4 1/2. She will be 5 Dec. 2nd. Lizzie will be starting Kindergarten this year. She can read, know her address, phone number (I could list off a long list of things this child is doing but you probably wouldn't believe me any way)and she wants to be an astronaut when she grows up.
Ben is picking up the love of basket ball. He gets that from his dad. For his birthday he got a basketball and all the other presents were...a waste of money as his mother told me. Ben is a very smart little boy also. I am so glad I was able to contribute to the smarts of my grandchildren...see I didn't use my brain much because I was saving it all for the grandchildren...that's my story and that is what I am stickin' to.
Okay I will tell you a little about the parents these two have. Terrilynn is my daughter. She met Mark when she was in school at Michigan State. They married and now live in Altoona Penn. Mark just got his tenyear at Penn State-Altoona Campus. Mark teaches Math but his love is in research of math. Terrilynn works for a local firm as a CPA. When they lived in South Ben IN Terrilynn was a wedding coordinator...she was great at it and she is a very organized young women!!!! There really isn't a market for wed. cordin. in Altoona but she is very happy with her family and job.
Lizzie has taken swimming lessons and can now swim without any aid. Ben loves the water too and will be in lessons before you know it. Lizzie big adventure when they go any where is to get a hotel with a swimming pool, everything else is just a side adventure. I do miss these children...and their parents but we talk weekly at least.

Hi, Here are some pictures of some of the most beauriful children in the world!!! These two belong to my youngest daughter, Niki. The little princess's namen is Gabi, and that she does very well, although she isn't into words yet. She will be 2 July 7th. The little guy on the hunt is her big brother Chase. He is 5 and he will be starting school this fall. Chase also lives up to his name. Their mother has been know to say she should have named the shutup and sitdown!!!

I have put their picturs on first because I have had some trouble getting some pictures on the sitght and these two happen to load...just so you kids know there is no favorites with Nana. LOL

I have added Garrett and Jacob to the top of this blog. Jacob is the older of the 2 and he is 9 years old. Garrett is 8 and they are my son Heith's boys. They keep us busy with their sports. Jake is a blessing to him Nana as he has made the choice to give his heart to the Lord and was Baptized. Jacob I want you to know Nana prayes for you all the time!!!

I have 2 more grandchildren I have to show off but I will do that tonight because right now I am on my lunch brake and I have to get back to work. More latter.

I was having trouble with loading the pictures last night but after much determination and working on my computer I managed to get these pictures. These are the pictures of Bubba and a young man named Jacob being sworn in. In the first picture is Bubba and his recruiter...let me tell you something about this recruiter. He is the best recruiter in the business. He loves the Lord and he has a special place in his heart for God, crountry and his mother's apple pie. By the way this bright, handsome and looks like his mother young recruiter is another one of my sons...Bubba's brother...Brandon. The second picture is the actual swearing in. The third picture is the congrats and the fourth is the standing in front of the flags, it's all done picture with his brother the recruiter.
Brandon is in Little Rock AK right now in classes training for recruiting. His prayer though is to go on to flight school. He has passed his physical and is just waiting on the move of God and the Army. Beleive I know we will see the move of God before we see the move of the US government!!! I am so proud of my boys and what they are doing with there lives. Brandon will be home in about 3 weeks.

Well, I have finally decided to do it. I have for months now, enjoyed reading the blogs of many of my friends. Most of them don't know that I read their blogs and how often. I thought I would join the ranks.

For those who don't know what has been going on in my family I will fill you in but not all at once. Right now the big drama (and there is always drama in the Dunn family) is Bubba in the Army boot camp. I can deal with that and I have to admit it will do him more good than harm. It is what comes after boot camp that I am not, nor will I ever be, ready for. He will graduate boot camp June 13th and head to Georgia to jump school.

I suppose most of you can guess what jump school is but for the 1 or 2 of you out there that might be clue less...he will be preparing to jump from airplanes and helicopters. I just might be able to accept that if and only if he would promise as I have begged and begged that it would only be a total of 4 inches off the ground. I think he has people over him that will over rule me and he choose to over rule me when he held up his hand and signed on the line. Not only is 4 inches out of the question but worse than that it will probably be out of this crountry when all is said and done.

We received a letter from our solider today and he is doing good. I didn't think this would be a great challenge to Bubba because he played football in high school and he didn't shy away from the tough riggers of the practice routeens. It steatched him and he loved it.

I have given my kids into God's hands over and over in their lives. This is one of the times I have to trust a BIG and LOVING GOD that I know loves my son more than I do. To a mother that seems impossible but I know it to be true. I have seen God work in tremendous ways and I have no doubt he will lead Bubba and keep his hand on his life. Can I say God will keep Bubba from all harm...NO but I can say Bubba has made is life right with God and his life for all eternity is in Gods hands and I wouldn't have it any other way.
